Message Quarantine

Overview

The Message Quarantine feature works in collaboration with system generated emails where your firm can schedule tasks (such as generating monthly trust statement's) to be sent to clients. These system generated emails can be held in quarantine for a set period of time allowing them to be reviewed before being sent to the client.

Message quarantine provides confidence in the accuracy and consistency of system generated emails by allowing firms to review these emails before they get sent to the client.

Quarantined emails will not be sent until the quarantine hours have either lapsed, or if they have been manually approved for sending.

Message Quarantine Settings

The message quarantine can be configured via the following steps.

1. Navigate to Settings > Firm Settings > Message Quarantine Configuration.

2.  Within the Configuration section, set the Hours you want the messages to be held in Quarantine. By default, the message quarantine period is set to 24 hours. Then select Save

A number of max retries can be entered whereby the system will re-send for the set amount of tries.



3. Within the Allow List section, add any email addresses to exclude them from the message quarantine time. Emails sent to these emaill addresses will be sent immediately and by-pass the quarantine time. 


3. Within the Block List settings, add any email addresses which you do not want receive any system generated emails.  



Message Quarantine Dashboard Widget

By default, the message quarantine widget is available on the Accountant dashboard. However it can be added to any other Dashboard.

The message quarantine widget provides an overview of system generated emails across four different status', as follows:

  1. Messages scheduled today
  2. Messages scheduled later 
  3. Messages sent since yesterday
  4. Messages blocked and undelivered

For each status, the number listed on the left depicts the number of messages for that category.


Select the messages you wish to view.  The Quarantined Messages will appear which describes the messages to be sent by type and when and who they will send to. The filters can be used to view the dates scheduled or blocked messages. 


 

Dependent on the type of scheduled message, four options are available for the messages, including:

  1. View Message
  2. Download attachment
  3. The Green tick is to manually approve the message to sent. These will be sent on the next system email run (approx. 10 minutes)The Red tick is to block or reject the email to stop being sent.
