Overview

The notifications feature is designed to automatically distribute templated messages in bulk such as emailing Invoices and Receipts to clients.  Notifications can also be used internally to notify staff of activities such as accounting reporting at the end of month.

The system allows for review of the outgoing queue and set rules (referred to as Message Quarantine) acting as a safety-net.

Notification templates

There are a number of templates which define the header and body of emails the system generates as a result of automation (i.e. scheduled activity) or manually created notifications.

1. Navigate to the Settings Menu, then Firm Settings.

2. Navigate to the Notifications settings category, and select Notification Templates.

3. Select the template you wish to update, or use the search box to locate the template.

4. The email template will appear. All of the templates contain tags (field names). These tags allow the template to populate specific values into the template when being used to generate a message/ email.  The system will populate basic tags for you.

As an example, the above template will appear as follows in an email template.

Firm Tags

The Firms details are configured from the relevant entity card in the directory. The following table describes the tag names and the information which will populate in the email.
