Guide Overview
This guide is provided to highlight what changes will occur in the system with the introduction of the Supervisor role. The Supervisor role is a top layer of involvement on matters to supplement the Person Assisting and Person Responsible roles.

Matter Roles
On the Matter Info screen, there is a field to assign a user in the Supervisor role. If a user is assigned (noting this role is not mandatory), a third set of initials will display in the Matter Details Info summary:
All users assigned to any role on a matter, will automatically be granted permission to access the matter
Supervisor Column
A new column will be available on the matter listing view:

Workflows
You can assign tasks to the Supervisor role when configuring Workflow tasks:
Precedent Tagging
There is a full list of user tags for the Supervisor role when configuring your precedents and containers:
NB: many Court and Authority forms are configured to populate the Person Responsible details as the 'legal representative', which should be taken into consideration when assigning users into roles
Accounting reporting filters
The introduction of the Supervisor role will result in the role titles in the accounts side of the system changing, as follows:

It is possible to filter accounting reports by three staff layers:
Financial reporting my be affected if staff are re-allocated to a new role (eg current Person Responsible moved into Supervisor role, current Person Assisting moved into Person Responsible role)Listing reports (i.e. Matter Listing, Disbursement Listing), will reflect the current allocation of roles. Point in time reports (i.e. Aged Disbursements, Aged WIP) will reflect the allocation of roles at the “As at” date you are filtering the report for.
