Managing Leads

Overview

Prospective clients can be created as Leads for capturing information prior to taking on instructions.  Leads can easily be converted to matters. You can work in the Lead similar to a Matter and add parties, schedule events, create tasks or next steps, and automate letters and documents. 


Creating a Lead

1. Navigate and select New Lead on the EvolveGo menu. 


 


2. Complete the details as required. Create a new contact or select from the options presented as the details are entered: 

  (1). Assign the type of lead, this is similar to matter type and will be displayed in a drop down 

  (2). Select staff members likely to be involved in the potential matter. Referrers and billing type can also be added. 

  (3). Add any additional notes in the memo.

  (4). Select Create Lead to complete the process. Create & Open will open the Lead. 



3. Once the Lead has been created it will appear as below. 


 

 

 

Converting a Lead to a Matter 

Once a Lead is ready to proceed with the matter it can be easily converted to a live matter.


1. Find and Open the lead from the Matter Listing or Advanced Search tab.


2. Click Convert to Matter.

 

  

3. Select the matter type to be created. 

Note: If the matter type selected is different to the type initially selected when the Lead was created, you will receive an additional warning.


4. Once a Lead has been converted to a Matter it cannot be undone, a pop-up will ask you to confirm you wish to proceed.



5. If there are any Workflows to be run they will pop up once you have clicked Yes.
