Custom Views and Filters

Overview

Views can be customised on several screens including most of the listing screens. This allows you to save your preferred views and set the default view you prefer.  

Filters and columns can also be set in a custom view to allow for easier to filter and display data you need to view. 

Custom views are available throughout the system including Work Items, Directory, Matters, Invoices, Purchases, Banking and the General Ledger.

System Views

Each listing screen has standard System Views relevant to the information shown.  For Example, the Invoices list shows Active, Outsanding Invoices, Closed Invoices and Credit Notes as the default System Views. 



System views can be set as the perferred/default view, by selecting the drop down next to the view, and selecting Set as Preferred View. The Preferred View will be the default view when vewing the listing. 



Filtering Views

Each listing screen has standard filters relevant to the inforamation shown. Filters can be selected and set as Custom views.  


1. To add a filter, select Add Filter



2. A list of relevant filters will display.  Use the Search bar or select the filter and set your filtering selections. Click Apply when all filters are set. 




Adding/removing Columns

Columns can be set on any listing views.  These can be saved into your views.


1. To set columns, select the Columns option to the right of the screen.


2. This will display the columns relevant to your listing view.  Tick columns you wish to include in the view.  Untick columns you wish to exclude from the view.



Create Custom Views

A custom view can be set on any listing screen. Custom views can also be set as the Preferred View.


1. To create a custom view, firstly set the filters you wish to include in your view (As per filter instructions above).  


2. Select the Ellipsies button to the right of the views and select Create new. 


2. Enter a Name and a Description for the view.  If this is the preferred view, tick Set as perferred. Then click Save


3. The custom filtered view will now be available in the Views. 


Saving and editing existing Views

Default and custom views can be edited or saved as a new view. 


To edit an existing view

1. Select the relevant view

2. Add/Change the necessary filters and/or columns. 

3. Select the Save button to the right of the screen and select Save.



To Save as a new view

1. Select the relevant view

2. Add/Change the necessary filters and/or columns

3. Select the Save button to the right of the screen and select Save as.



4. Enter a Name and Description and select Save




Resetting System Views

You can reset all the filters or changes made to a System view by clicking on Reset View button to restore the default view.



Cloning a View

A view can be cloned to create another view.   


1. To clone a view, select the drop down next to the view and select Clone.


2. Enter a Name and Description and select Save
