Pre-deployment Overview

This video serves as an overview of the pre-deployment checklist, how to complete it, and what will be covered in each of the six videos following this one. The pre-deployment checklist is attached to this article.

Set up journals, chart of accounts and edit cash accounts

This video covers the set up of your journals (if you have more than one entity), chart of accounts and editing your cash account details on the chart of accounts.

General accounts settings

This video guides you through the process of updating your accounts settings such as financial year start date, payments terms, payment methods and cheque clearance times.

Set up task types

This video guides you through the process of setting up task types for the recording of time directly in the cloud. If time will be strictly recorded in the desktop product, task types will not need to be set up in the cloud. 

Set up billing grades and billing rates

This video guides you through the process of setting up billing grades and billing rates. Billing grades may represent different levels of seniority within a firm. To each of these, billing rates can be assigned. Billing grades can then be assigned to employees. Any time recorded by those employees will be recorded using the rate assigned to the billing grade.

Set up disbursement codes

This video guides you through the process of setting up disbursement codes. Disbursement codes can be set up for cost recoveries, incurred and anticipated disbursements. They are frequently used transactions which can be selected on the disbursement screen instead of having to create them each time from scratch.

Set up text templates

This video guides you through the process of setting up text templates. Text templates can be set up for payment and receipt reasons, purchase reasons and invoice narrations. This will do away with the need for these to be typed when processing these transactions.
