Overview

This guide highlights how to navigate EvolveGo from within the main page in the dashboard application.

EvolveGo Page

The following items are able to be accessed via the main EvolveGo page. These are itemised in further detail below:

  1. Additional Options / Menus
  2. Action Buttons
  3. Navigation Pane
  4. Dashboards
  5. Daily Digest
  6. Search Bar

Additional Options / Menus

This bar at the top of the screen allows you to access other primary areas of the system including the file menu, communicate screen, the time and disbursements screen and the ability to access our support services.

Action Buttons

This panel allows you to perform quick actions from within the main EvolveGo screen. These buttons provide a quick method of creating a new lead, matter, contact, event, task and phone message. Additionally, the 'billing' button provides access to the Accounts part of the system.

This panel on the left-hand-side of the screen allows you to navigate between different core areas of the system including the matter listing, contact listing, calendar, task list, activity intelligence and reports.

Dashboards

When the 'dashboard' navigation button is selected, this panel at the top of the dashboard screen will allow you to navigate between the various dashboards that have been set up.

Daily Digest

This widget within the primary dashboard allows you to view a quick snapshot of events, tasks and phone messages for the present day in addition to any overdue items.

The search bar, located in the top right-hand-side of the screen allows you to search system-wide for leads, contacts, events, tasks, memos and documents. The search bar also provides access to the 'advanced search' feature.

File Menu

The File Menu is located in the top left-hand corner of the main screen. Clicking on the 'File' button expands the menu and provides access to the available options.

File Menu Options:

The options contained within the File Menu and their function are described below:

Export to CSVThis option will generally be greyed out unless you are currently within a screen in EvolveGo that allows its content to be exported into CSV format. This mostly applies to the Contact Listing and Matter listing screens. When in those screens, this option will be available for selection. Selecting it will export the currently displayed items into CSV format for use in external applications.
EvolveGo SettingsThis option provides access to the EvolveGo application settings. The settings can also be accessed by clicking on the settings cog icon in the top right-hand side of the application window. Note that the settings contained therein are system-wide settings and are not settings which are personal and unique to the user.
Help and SupportThis option in the menu acts a hyperlink to EvolveGo's support portal. Selecting this option will launch your web browser and direct you to EvolveGo's support page.
Reset PasswordThis option will allow you to reset the password for your user profile via an emailed link.
Apply UpdatesThis option will generally be greyed out and unavailable for selection. If you see this option available, it is an indication that a newer, updated version of the software is available to be downloaded and installed. Selecting this option will download the update and apply it. Please note that EvolveGo will close and relaunch during this process.

Where an update has been released, you will also be prompted to install it upon your next login to the software. If you opt not to download the update at that time, you can do so later by selecting this option in the File Menu.
Switch UserThis option will allow you to switch to another user in the firm. In doing so, the first user will be logged out and the secondary user logged in. Note that the username and password of the secondary user will be required at the time of switching.
LogoutSelecting this option will allow you to log out of the application. Please note that all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) must be closed in order to logout. In most cases, it is not necessary to log out of EvolveGo unless there is a requirement for multiple staff members to log in and out of EvolveGo on the same computer.
ExitSelecting this option will close and exit the application.
