FAQ: How do I provide accounting data to my accountant?

Modified on Thu, 27 Feb at 12:48 PM

This article applies to the following scenario:

  • Your accountant requires a copy of the accounting data stored in the system.
  • You are looking for a way to give them access to the data.

Explanation

The system does not generate a single file that can be sent to the accountant. Unlike MYOB and other accounting software, this system operates on a high-performance database within Microsoft SQL Server.

Although backups can be made, providing your accountant with a backup file would require them to have:

  • A running installation of the system with a valid license.
  • IT support to install and link the database to the system.

Procedure

There are two options available:

  1. Give them remote login capability to access the system

    • Contact your IT support team to set up remote access.
    • Create an additional user account for your accountant.
  2. Generate reports for your accountant

    • Speak with your accountant to determine which data they need.
    • Use the system’s reporting features to generate and share the required information.
